How are Durga Puja dates decided each year?
Durga Puja follows the Bengali lunar calendar, so the dates move every year. Most committees in Bangalore follow the main days from Shashthi to Dashami, but some hold their Puja on the nearest weekend so members can attend.
That is why dates can differ between two Pujas in the same neighbourhood. Always check the specific listing rather than assuming one set of dates for the whole city.
